Chromebooks

A Chromebook is a light laptop running Google Chrome OS. You can use a Chromebook to do most things you'd usually do online: browse websites, check your email, watch online videos, and so on. Chromebooks are not designed to use Windows or to have space for your files. The Chromebook does not come with a hotspot, but you may borrow a hotspot at the same time, if one is available.

Chromebooks returned in the book drop or to another library will result in a fine. The Chromebook will be examined to ensure it has not been tampered with. If damage to the Chromebook is discovered, these costs will be added to the patron’s account.
- An overdue charge of $1 per day up to the full replacement cost of $200 will be charged for a Chromebook that is not returned after being 28 days late.
