How do I get a library card?
To apply for a Southington Library Card, adults must present a valid form of identification with a name and address showing residency in Southington, Plantsville, Marion, or Milldale. Children may apply for a library card at any age, but must have a parent or guardian present with a valid form of identification. Children may request an adult card when entering the ninth grade. A library card issued at the Southington Public Library may be used at any public library in the state. Your Library card is valid for three years. To renew your card, bring the expired card and a photo ID to the Circulation Desk or click here to renew your card online.

With the exception of items with a current waiting list, all items may be renewed in person, by phone (860-628-0947 x2) during business hours, or online.
Borrowing privileges are suspended when fines total $100.00 or more. Borrowers must pay full cost for items that are lost or damaged.
