Downloadable
eAudiobooks from NetLibrary
Start
listening to downloadable eAudio books today!
Now available for
iPods, iPhones, Nanos and all supported MP3
players for either Windows or Mac users.
Step One:
Stop by the Southington Library Reference Desk to
set up your free NetLibrary account. You will
create a user name and password.
Step Two: Log-in to
NetLibrary. At
home go to
netlibrary.com on the Web. Click on the log-in
link on the upper left hand side of the page.
Enter the user name and password you created at
the Library.
Step Three: Search
for Titles. You will search for eAudiobooks
directly from the
NetLibrary page. Search by Title, Author,
Key Word of Full text, or browse a list
of eAudiobooks by clicking on the "Browse by
Subject" link on the right hand side of the
screen.
Step Four: Download the Books. Click on Download
this eAudiobook to view your down-loading options.
Then click on Manual Download Options to select CD
(for broadband) or Radio (for dial-up) quality.
The download will begin automatically.

with the Media Center (Windows only)
NetLibrary
offers the Media Center, a stand-alone program for
Windows users to simplify the download process.

bottom of the NetLibrary page click on the link:

The
Media Center Installer will perform
any Microsoft Windows updates necessary for your
computer to run the Media Center, or you can
perform these updates yourself by clicking on
Get Your
PC Ready for the Media Center.
After your
computer has been updated and the Media Center
has been downloaded, you are ready to story
browsing and downloading eAudiobooks. Simply
log-in using your username and password. You
will see a list of Featured titles. You can also
use the Search and Browse buttons to choose your
favorite authors. Click on the selection to view
your down-loading options.
For Mac users
only
Currently Mac users are able to download
eAudiobooks only from the NetLibrary website.
The Media Center is not Mac compatible at this
time. Please note the Apple Safari browser is
not compatible with NetLibrary and cannot be
used for downloading. (iTunes is required for
ether Windows or Mac platforms with the iPod.)
